I’ve been working from home for 2 months now, and my eating habits are quite different than they were in the office. I still have breakfast between 8 and 9, lunch around 12 and dinner around 6 or 7, but the meals themselves and the snacks in between are different.
While it can make you feel amazing to eat healthy, and there are plenty of healthy AND delicious dishes, sometimes you are just craving something sweet or any kind of comfort food. If you still want to make it yourself, instead of just ordering a pizza, I have got you covered with these recipes!
Last week, I could only eat soft foods because I had a wisdom tooth surgery. And since I was really craving chocolate and we had a few ripe avocados, I tried out this chocolate mousse.
I have a bit of a love-hate-relationship with coffee. As with so many foods, some sources say coffee is healthy, while others say it is unhealthy. I believe that it probably depends on your own body whether you metabolize coffee well or not.
This is how I prepare my breakfast for the work week. I eat the same breakfast almost every day, because it’s easy, nutritious and sooo good! I never get tired of it.
If you grew up in Germany, there is a good chance you grew up with Nutella. In our house, we always stocked at least one glass of Nutella and it was a sweet & constant part of my childhood. I remember when I visited my grandmother after kindergarten, she would make me a bread roll with butter and Nutella while I was watching The Simpsons. 🙂
I’ve never made vegan mousse au chocolat. I never wanted to try the full-fat version with avocado, so I just contented myself with dark chocolate for the occasional chocolate fix.
Sooo….pancakes. 🙂 If you have been following me on Instagram, you have had the pleasure of enjoying my pancake spam in the past few weeks. I basically use every free morning I get to make pancakes and have tried different variations every time!
There was this one day when I thought to myself: I eat chocolate oatmeal almost every day. I love white chocolate. Why have I never tried white chocolate oats?!? So I made white chocolate oats. And they were every bit as heavenly and delicious as I imagined. No actually – they were soo much better!!
I admit I’ve been having my troubles with vegan baking endeavors… One of my grandmothers used to have her own bakery, so she was a baker by trade. Whenever we visit her, we are served delicious homemade cakes. Since going vegan, I have been trying to bring baked vegan goods, but was always a little ashamed because they couldn’t keep up with her cakes in the slightest. I have tried a few vegan cakes, muffins and brownies and apart from this raw-vegan cheesecake (which technically doesn’t count as baking), I was never happy with the result. Never!
