Bruschetta

Bruschetta

When summer is as hot as it is here in Germany this year, you don’t really feel like eating or cooking heavy meals. This italian appetizer is easy to make and tastes awesome on a warm summer evening. It can be eaten as a snack or a whole meal.

Ingredients:

  •  sliced ciabatta bread or buns
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1/4 onion (minced)
  • 1/4 clove garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil (or fresh)
  • 0.5 tsp oregano

Instructions:

  1. Cut tomatoes into small cubes.
  2. Add onion & garlic, herbs & spices, vinegar & oil and mix well. It will taste best if you prepare it a few hours in advance and let it sit in the refrigerator 😉
  3. Top each slice of bread with tomatoes & sauce.

Zutaten:

  • Ciabatta oder Brötchen, in Scheiben geschnitten
  • 5 Tomaten
  • 1/4 Zwiebel (gehackt)
  • 1/4 Knoblauchzehe (gehackt)
  • 3 EL Olivenöl
  • 3 EL Balsamico
  • 1 TL Meersalz
  • 1 TL Pfeffer
  • 1 TL Basilikum (getrocknet, oder frisch)
  • 0.5 TL Oregano

 

Zubereitung:

  1. Tomaten in kleine Würfel schneiden.
  2. Die restlichen Zutaten (außer Brot) dazu geben und gut vermischen. Am besten schmeckt es, wenn die Mischung ein paar Stunden im Kühlschrank zieht.
  3. Auf jede Scheibe Brot etwas Tomaten und Soße darauf geben.
